Framework of Ideas Workshops
Writing about Personal Journeys, Play or Protest
The Framework of Ideas Workshops are live, in-schools workshops curated around each of the four Frameworks: Country, Personal Journeys, Play and Protest.
The workshops incorporate dramatisations of mentor texts, focused analysis of text structure and language techniques and interactive text response workshop activities.
The workshop is structured into 3 sections:
1) DRAMATISATION: creative interpretation/performance of the mentor texts,
2) ANALYSIS: of text structure and language techniques (including authorial point of view, historical context, themes and key ideas/issues),
3) CREATIVE PROCESS: interactive section to help students generate ideas for their own writing/crafting text responses (including activities, and prompts, with a focus on using imagination, critique, and adaptation).
